HATS PARADE AT PEDRO CERRADA

Today, the pupils of 1st ESO have participated in the hats Parade organized by the English teacher, Pedro Cilla.

GREAT SUCCESS AT THE SOUL CONCERT TODAY !!

Today, on the 27th of March, which is the last day of the school term just before the Holy Week... there was a soul concert by Silvia Solans, organized by the English Department.

We sang songs like 'Put the blame on me' from the film Gilda or the most famous one from the film Casablanca....

It was very interesting to see the pupils from 4th, Bto and Cycles attentive to the screen and the lyrics.

At the end of the concert, Marga and Luisa were dancing a rock and roll 'Tutti Frutti'.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH SILVIA !!!

** HAVE A NICE EASTER HOLIDAY.... ( MARGA HERRERO)

ST PATRICK'S DAY

ST PATRICKS DAY  ON THE 17TH OF MARCH EVERY YEAR.....

St. Patrick's Day is celebrated by the Irish and Irish at Heart in big cities and small towns alike with parades, "wearing of the green," music and songs, Irish food and drink, and activities for kids such as crafts, coloring and games. Its a time for fun. Some communities even go so far as to dye rivers or streams green! See all the Parades & Events going on around the World to celebrate St Patricks Day and find your nearest Irish Pub!

** Also here in Zaragoza, we go to the pub and get a hat for free....

POETRY: 'A SMILE'

A SMILE

A smile costs not a lot

But it satisfies a lot

Doesn’t make the given poor

Rather makes the giver rich

It last for just a moment

In memory stays for ever

Don’t forget to give it ever

Without any comment.

It’s the external symbol

Of the very deep friendship

Nobody is so rich

That can live without it!!

A smile lightens tiredness

Putting up your strength

And it is a comfort

When you fall for

A smile is worthwhile

From the beginning to the end

If you believe it gives nothing to you

Be generous and give yours

‘cos nobody has

Such a need of a smile

As somebody who can’t smile

So, be happy and ‘smile’.

21st CENTURY ILLNESSES

ILLNESSES OF THE 21ST CENTURY
I am going to write about illnesses, specifically about anxiety. Nowadays a lot of people suffer from this disease. Why?
On the one hand, people are more stressed than before. Women work out of the house and when they come from work. They do household chores as washing, dusting, buying…Besides they have to take care of her children. However, this is changing and men every day do more things in their homes.
On the other hand, in Spain since 2008 there are many people WHO don’t  work and economic problems are producing people can not  buy a house, clothes, food…This is producing a lot of anxiety. Also, an illness or death IN a family can produce anxiety. This disease can provoke headaches, dizziness, feeling suffocation, heart beating …
When people ARE very nervous, they should go to the doctor, so that he can prescribe pills. Although at present a lot of people are opting for alternative therapies as doing yoga, having herbal remedies or doing relaxing massages.
Finally, I have to say it is very important to have fun, speaking, going to the cinema or having dinner with friends. Definitely, devoting a little more time to yourself and being very happy is a must.

CHAPPIE

DON'T MISS IT.

IT IS ON AT THE CINEMA, ABOUT A ROBOT WHO CAN THINK, LEARN AND FEEL LIKE A HUMAN BEING...

IF THAT BECOMES A REALITY, OUR SUL, OUR ENERGY, OUR BRAIN  COULD BE PRESERVED IN A MACHINE WHEN OUR BODY DIES.

I WISH THAT COULD BE TRUE IN ORDER TO LIVE FOREVER.

AN ECLIPSE OF THE SUN TODAY

Today, we will be able to watch an eclypse of the Sun at about 9:00 am

About 80% of the sun will be eclypsed by the moon if you are in Galicia... maybe 60% in Aragon .

TRIP TO SAN SEBASTIAN (2nd BTO)

Last 3rd of March, the Science Department organized a trip to The Science Museum in order to do some interesting workshops related to different real experiments.

meanwhile, the Art Students went with their tutor, Marga for a sightseeing tour around the city. We saw the cathedral, Monte Igueldo, La concha, Palacio del mar, the kursal, etc....

We really enjoyed, especially the tapas although the journey by bus is quite long in one day and we arrived home too late and tired. (by Andrea Martos + Carolina Peiro - 2nd BCSS)
